bearing: is the most general of these words but now usually implies characteristic posture: a woman of regal ~.    （posture身姿姿态姿势，指身体的位置refers to the position of a person's body when standing or sitting，如he stood in a flamboyant posture with his hands on his hips他双手叉腰以炫耀的姿态站在那里，如good posture will protect your spine良好姿势有助于保护脊椎） 又如a man of military/dignified/regal bearing有着军人/庄重/皇家身姿的男人


deportment: suggests actions or behaviors as formed by breeding or training in regard to the amenities of life: a child with atrocious ~.   （amenities有2意思  1、社交礼仪implies something, such as a conventional social gesture, that promotes smoothness or pleasantness in social relationships使人际交往愉快顺利的社交规范，如maintaining social amenities维持社交礼仪   2、便利设施something that provides comfort, convenience, or enjoyment，如hotels with modern amenities宾馆提供便利设施，如parks and theatres are just some of the town’s local amenities公园和影院只是便利设施的一部分）  又如proper deportment was as important as good marks for young ladies对妙龄少女来说，仪态和优秀成绩一样重要


demeanor: suggests one's attitude as expressed by behavior among others : the haughty ~ of a head waiter.   demeanor表示的神态强调（通过表情举止展现的）态度，如she has a shy/friendly/warm demeanor[=manner]她神态害羞/友好/温暖[=manner举止礼貌]，本例傲慢的神态


mien: refers both to bearing and demeanor often as indicative of mood: a ~ of supreme self-satisfaction.   mood心情: 在某一时刻的感觉  又如it was impossible to tell from his mien whether he was offended从他的神态中难以看出他是否生气了   mien主要指反映心情的神态，文中的bearing身姿没有译出


manner: implies characteristic or customary way of moving and gesturing in a social context: the imperious ~ of a man used to giving orders.


carriage: applies chiefly to habitual posture in standing or walking: the kind of ~ learned at elite private schools.
